Arsenal target Julian Draxler confirms he wants to leave Wolfsburg
Julian Draxler has told current club Wolfsburg he wants to leave this summer, boosting Arsenal’s hopes of signing the winger.
The 22-year-old was tracked by the Gunners while he was at Schalke, but he ended up moving to Wolfsburg last summer.
But, after just 12 months at the Bundesliga club, Draxler has told bosses he wants to leave.
He told German newspaper Bild: “I have expressed myself clearly after the Euros, with [Wolfsburg manager] Dieter Hecking, that I want to leave Wolfsburg. The coach knows for more than three weeks.”
Arsenal and Juventus are thought to be leading the race to land the German.
