Wolfsburg say Draxler will NOT move this summer

VFL Wolfsburg have responded to Julian Draxler’s claims that he wants to leave.

And the Volkswagen club have come out swinging - declaring that he is going nowhere.

“I have expressed myself clearly after the Euros, with [Wolfsburg manager] Dieter Hecking, that I want to leave Wolfsburg.

“The coach knows for more than three weeks.”

That’s what Draxler told Bild, but now Wolfsburg have released their own statement.

They make it clear that there have been “no written or oral statements” given to the player to allow him to leave in the current transfer window.

Any possible deal will only occur in the 2017 summer window at the earliest, when a buyout clause in his contract kicks in.

They have also stated that they rejected a transfer request from the player.
