Swansea close in on Llorente

Swansea are closing in on the £5million signing of Sevilla striker Fernando Llorente .

The Welsh club are trying to tie up the deal before sanctioning the £20m departure of forward Andre Ayew to West Ham.

Llorente has been a Swans target following the departures of Eder, Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis. The Spain star is set to arrive with a wealth of experience, having lifted three Serie A titles with Juventus and the Europa League with Sevilla last year.

With his chances thought to be limited at the Spanish club, Llorente has jumped at the chance of a move.

And Monchi, Sevilla director of football, said: “It has come a long way with Swansea to reach an agreement. We expect to hear in the coming days.”
