Manchester United target Paul Pogba ordered to return to Juventus training as transfer saga continues

Manchester United target Paul Pogba has been ordered to return to Juventus training.

The Frenchman is set to join United for £100m with Jose Mourinho hinting a deal was all but done during Friday's press conference.

Mourinho wants Pogba to travel to Manchester this weekend to finalise the switch, according to the Manchester Evening News.

But Juve chief Massimiliano Allegri insists the player will be back in training with the Italian champions on Monday.

Pogba has holidayed in the United States over the last four weeks and has fuelled speculation about his future with a series of social media posts.
But Allegri said: "Mourinho rightly says he's not talking about Pogba because he's a Juventus player.

"I've summoned Pogba together with [Patrice] Evra [to report for preseason duty] tomorrow night, so that means he has training here in Vinovo on Monday.

"It makes no sense at the moment talking about potential replacements for Pogba because, right now, Pogba is a Juventus player.". Mourinho admitted on Friday that United hoped to seal a new signing before the start of the new season: "Yes we have 22 now and we are going to have 23." He refused to be drawn specifically on Pogba, though.

"You are right I don't like to speak about other clubs," he added.

"I don't like to speak about players from other clubs, other managers like to do that, they like to speak about my club and my players, I'm very pragmatic on this. The only thing that matters for me is what's happening in my house, not my neighbours's. Pogba is a Juventus player and until officially he isn't, we stay like this.

"But honestly, the market closes on August 31 but I think my club is trying to do everything to close our market before August 14 [date of Bournemouth Premier League opener], so normally next week we will have our squad closed."
